Sing to the Lord

Psalm 96 1  Sing to the  Lord  a new song;      sing to the  Lord , all the earth. 2  Sing to the  Lord , praise his name;      proclaim his salvation  day after day. 3  Declare his glory  among the nations,      his marvelous deeds  among all peoples. Father in Heaven, We sing to you, Lord of Heaven and earth. We sing of your marvelous deeds and love for all of your creation. What a wonderful God and Father you are! We confess our sins to you, Father. We humbly come before you and ask for your forgiveness. Thank you Father for you goodness and mercy toward us. Thank you for always being there for us when we need you. Thank you for your blessings on SJLS families and teachers and pastors. We ask you to continue to heal those who are struggling with health issues. Please be with our 7th graders who are in Catalina in outdoor education this week. Keep them safe and sound all week. Refuge and Strength

"God is our refuge  and strength,      an ever-present  help  in trouble. 2  Therefore we will not fear,  though the earth give way      and the mountains fall  into the heart of the sea, 3  though its waters roar  and foam      and the mountains quake  with their surging. [ c ] 4  There is a river  whose streams  make glad the city of God,      the holy place where the Most High  dwells. 5  God is within her,  she will not fall;      God will help  her at break of day. 6  Nations  are in uproar,  kingdoms  fall;      he lifts his voice,  the earth melts. 7  The  Lord  Almighty  is with us;      the God of Jacob  is our fortress." Psalm 46: 1-7 Dear Lord, Father Almighty, You are our ever-present help in times of trouble. You are our refuge and strength. You are our fortress and our defender. You are an awesome God who will never fail us! Father, we fall short of living up to your perfect plan. Please forgive us when we do wrong. Help us to always put ou

Lord of the Sabbath

"Then Jesus said to them,  “The Son of Man  is Lord of the Sabbath.” Luke 6:5 Dear Lord of the Sabbath, You, O Lord, are the Lord of all and King of Kings. We praise you for your goodness and mercy each day. We pray that each day we find time to be in Sabbath or rest with you and your Word. We confess that we fall short. We ask your forgiveness for our sins and that we might go forward with a clean spirit to bless others. May we always rest in your love and forgiveness! Thank you Lord for all of our blessings each day. We thank you for a great school year, happy students, teachers and parents, and a fantastic school and church where we can learn and grow daily in You! Lord, please bless those that are sick. Bring them healing. Please bless our families that are traveling. Bring them back safely. Please bless our church and school that we may continue to bring hope to your community. We ask this all in your name Lord! Amen!

Courageous Faith. Inspired Learners.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid;  do not be discouraged,  for the  Lord  your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 Dear Father, You, Father, are our one strong God who is above all in and in all and through all. May we be drawn ever closer to your glory through your Son. May we always look to you for courage and strength in this troubled world. Although we try to rely on ourselves, we fail. Although we try to be strong on our own, we fail. In you alone is our strength. Forgive us when we look to ourselves. Bring us back to your arms when we stray. Thank you Father for always being there for us. You are our only source of strength, courage and comfort. May we always put you first in our lives. Thank you for the blessings of Christian education here at St. John's. We are so blessed! Father, please continue to be with those who are sick. Comfort those who mourn. Give strength to those who fail. Continue to bless St. Joh
