Hurry off and find Jesus!

"So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.  " Luke 2:16 Jesus, Savior, We come to you in awe and adoration, Jesus, at the celebration of your birth. May we hurry to find you in worship, song and Word over the next days and weeks as we come together as family and celebrate Christmas! Jesus, we fall short of your perfection. Make us clean through your Holy Word and your sacrifice. We humbly confess our sins before you. Thank you Jesus for coming to this earth in human form. Thank you for always loving us and giving us such great reasons to celebrate. We celebrate your birth, our lives, our health and our families. We would have nothing without you Jesus and we lift you up in thanksgiving for all of those many blessings! We ask you to be with those who are in need of your healing touch. Be with students and families who are ill. Be with our teachers who are sick and need your healing hand. Be with our school and continue

The Advent of our King

Image
The advent of our King Our prayers must now employ, And we must hymns of welcome sing In strains of holy joy. The everlasting Son Incarnate deigns to be; Himself a servant's form puts on To set His servants free. O Zion's Daughter, rise To meet thy lowly King, Nor let thy faithless heart despise The peace He comes to bring. As Judge, on clouds of light, He soon will come again And His true members all unite With Him in heaven to reign. Before the dawning day Let sin's dark deeds be gone, The old man all be put away, The new man all put on. All glory to the Son, Who comes to set us free, With Father, Spirit, ever One, Through all eternity. Amen! Retrieved from  http://www.lutheran-hymnal.com/lyrics/tlh068.htm
