Holy Spirit!

 " Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body,  so it is with Christ.   13  For we were all baptized  by [ c ]  one Spirit  so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free —and we were all given the one Spirit to drink." I Corinthians 12:12-13 Dear Spirit, Your powerful presence dwells among your people here at St. John's and we are thankful for your presence and faith-building power. We are proud to be people faith, called by You, to minister to the nations! Thank you for allowing our school to host our Korean friends! We were sad to see them leave today, but we are excited to see how your power and seeds of faith will influence them in their lives. Please continue to be with those who are hurting or sick. We especially as that all our teachers are able to come back to school healthy and ready to proclaim your name! Thank you Holy Spirit for your power and love! Amen!

Grace!

"For it is by grace  you have been saved,  through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—   9  not by works,  so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 Dear Father, In your eternal wisdom you have blessed us with many gifts. May our gifts here be used to give you glory and honor in all that we do! Although you love us with a perfect love, Father, we fall short and sin daily. Please forgive us when we do wrong and give us a new spirit of hope each day. We THANK YOU for all that you give us and all that we have. Thank you for the opportunities to hear your Word each day and to sing your praises. Thank you for the opportunities to sing in church each Sunday and proclaim your good deeds! Please be with us and all Lutheran schools this week. Bless our reach into the community and our global message of the Gospel. Bless St. John's and keep us safe! We pray this all in your precious name, Amen!

Birth of the King

"After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea,  during the time of King Herod,  Magi [ a ]  from the east came to Jerusalem   2  and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?  We saw his star  when it rose and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:1-2 Dear King of Kings, You truly are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Although you came to us in a humble manger, you displayed your power and glory for the entire world in your life. May we be so humbled and awestruck at your life on earth that we too might live humble and obedient lives to you. We come into your holy presence knowing we are unworthy of your love, yet you still show us unfathomable love. Please forgive us for the sins we have committed and help us to live lives in honor to you.  We are truly thankful for your coming in the manger so very long ago. May we never forget the tremendous sacrifice you gave for us. Thank you for your love and generosity that you show us in your grace. We are thankf
