The Lamb, Our Shepherd
"‘Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’[a]
nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’[b]
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’[c]” Revelation 7:16-17
Dear Jesus,
You are our only Lord and Savior. Your wipe our tears and your quench our thirst. Praise be to you as you reign in heaven over the entire universe for all eternity!
Lord, we deserve nothing in our sinful condition. Through your love, though, you bring us back to life and give us new meaning through you. Please cleanse us of our sins through your sacrificial blood.
Thank you Jesus for giving us everything. You gave us your life and you give us your love. We look forward to the day that we will not suffer and can be at your throne through the springs of living water. Thank you for the insurmountable blessings you give us each and every day!
Please be with all those who mourn. Help them remember that in you, there is rejoicing, even in the sorrow. Please be with all those who are sick and return them to health. Please be with all of our teacher, aides, and office staff. Bless them in their daily work to bring your kingdom to those in need. Bless our pastors and other church workers. Help them faithfully preach the Gospel and administer your grace to those all around them.
In your holy name, Jesus. Amen!
