Baptized into Christ

9 "At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 11 And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” Mark 1:9-11

 Jesus, Lord,

 We praise you for the gift of Baptism! As you were baptized by John the Baptist, you provided a way for us to be heirs of your kingdom for eternity. Your love is amazing and this gift is an eternal blessing! May your work in us be an example to all those around us.

 Although we fall short daily, you give us grace and love. Although we fail to do what we should in your name, you provide forgiveness. We confess our sins to you, Jesus, and ask to be created new each day in your name.

 Thank you for your love, Jesus. You take care of us in so many ways! Thank you for your divine care and providence over us always!

 Jesus, please be with those students who are sick. Be with those who need your healing touch. Please be with all those students and families as they re-enroll. May the gift of Christian education abound in our community and may St. John's be that place for an exceptional education!

 We love you Jesus! Amen!

"Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up." Romans 15:2 Dear Jesus, You build us up so that we can build others up. We praise you for your love and saving grace for us daily. May we use that love and grace to do good in our communities and to our neighbors. We want to transform the world in your name and for your glory. Jesus please forgive us our sins and provide us with a clear conscious that we may live in your love. Help us to avoid the traps of the devil and seek your face at all times. Thank you loving Savior for all of your goodness and mercy toward St. John's and our entire community.
