Savior of the Nations

              Savior of the nations, come, Virgin’s Son, make here Your home!             Marvel now, O heav’n and earth, That the Lord chose such a birth. Dear Savior of the Nations, Lord Jesus Christ: You have come down from heaven to make your home among us, Oh Savior! We praise and thank you for being the loving and gracious God you are. We praise you for your goodness and always willing spirit to forgive and love us! You came to earth because you love us and we praise your birth as we celebrate Christmas. We need a savior. Our sinful condition begs for forgiveness. You came to earth through the virgin Mary, lived a perfect life, died and rose to give us that forgiveness. We praise and thank you for that forgiveness of sins now and forever! Thank you for coming to earth us the form of a human so that you could experience our humanity. Shine in the Darkness

Shout for Joy!

I will be with him in trouble!

"  He will call on me, and I will answer him;      I will be with him in trouble,      I will deliver him and honor him. 16  With long life I will satisfy him      and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:15-16 God and Father, We praise you God and Father of the entire universe. You display your power and glory to us daily in your creation and providence toward us. You are with us in every trouble and we thank and praise your name for that! You are our salvation and we magnify your name in all the earth for that great love. Father, we don't deserve your love, but you give it to us anyway. Please forgive us our sins and give us true repentance and  redemption in your name. We praise you for your love and forgiveness. Thank you God for all that you give us, even though we don't ask. He loves me!

"  You will tread on the lion and the cobra;      you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14  “Because he [ b ]  loves me,” says the  Lord , “I will rescue him;      I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name." Psalm 91:13-14 Lord, God, Heavenly Father, In your great power you have trampled on the powers of the devil. You defeated death through the cross. You have recused us from the pit. For all these things we praise your Holy Name! We rest in your security and are thankful and awe-filled by your power and love. Lord God, you are the provider and protector. Praise the Lord! Even though we don't deserve it, you love us. Even though we sin, you give us grace. Thank you Lord for forgiving our sins and cleansing us in your redeeming power. He will Lift you Up!

 " For he will command his angels   concerning you      to guard you in all your ways; 12  they will lift you up in their hands,      so that you will not strike your foot against a stone." Psalm 91:11-12 Father Almighty, You are our protector and ever-present help. Your love for us flows so freely that you will not let the evil one harm us. We praise your amazing name for this! You guard us because you love us and for that you deserve our adoration.  Although we don't deserve your love, you surround us with it anyway. You lift us up and love us despite of our sin. Forgive us of all of our sins and bring us ever closer to you. Father we thank you for always having concern for us. You always have your angels around us. Thank you for being near us and loving us. Thank you for the protection we don't even know about and the love we cannot feel from you. You are our ultimate protector and we thank and praise you for it! The Most High Your Dwelling

 " If you say, “The   Lord   is my refuge,”      and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10  no harm will overtake you,      no disaster will come near your tent." Psalm 91:9-10 Lord Most High, You are the Lord, the Most High God! We love you and praise your name! You above all are Lord of the universe and we praise you name. We make our dwelling in your so that no harm will overtake us. We put all our hope and trust in You, Lord! There are times when we mistakenly rely on the ways of this world and our own power. We confess the times when we try to make our way and not follow YOUR way. Lord forgive us and love us, we humbly ask. Thank you God Most High for being in our lives. We live in the tent of your love and righteousness! Thank you Jesus for being with us since the beginning of time and for giving your life for us all. Thank you for taking care of us (sometimes in ways we do not understand), but for always knowing what's best for us.  Most High, be with all of tho

Be near us and keep the evil far from us!

 " A thousand may fall at your side,      ten thousand at your right hand,      but it will not come near you. 8  You will only observe with your eyes      and see the punishment of the wicked." Psalm 91:7-8 Dear Father, Thousands fall at your feet. Thousand fall at the sound of your name. You defeat the wicked and save us from the evil one. You are amazing God and keep your children in your care. We praise and thank you for your watching over us and always keeping the evil one far away from us. Forgive us from straying from you. Cover us with your love as you forgive our sins. Father we love you and are so thankful for your goodness and mercy. Thank you for being our good, good Father and protector. You will not Fear!

 " You will not fear   the terror of night,      nor the arrow that flies by day, 6  nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,      nor the plague that destroys at midday." Psalm 91:5-6 Dear Father, You are the God of all and the creator of the universe. You created us in your image and therefore we will not fear. The darkness has no power of you. The armies of this world and the devil bow to you. You are our awesome God and we put our praise and trust in you and you alone! Father, protect us from our sin and self-doubt. Forgive us for our sins and daily shortcomings. Forgive us for not always following your commands. Lord we believe in the saving power of your love and your Son Jesus. We thank and praise you for your gracious grace and forgiveness. Thank you good, good Father for all of your protection and faithfulness. Thank you for guarding us against the devil and his snares. He Will Cover You

 " Surely he will save you   from the fowler’s snare      and from the deadly pestilence. 4  He will cover you with his feathers,      and under his wings you will find refuge;      his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." Ps 91: 3-4 Dear Father in Heaven, You are our refuge in all kinds of trouble. Your faithfulness is all we need! We praise you for saving us from every kind of pestilence and always being our refuge. May we always dwell under your caring and loving wings. Although we fall short and follow the ways of the world, you love us. Help us to confess when we fall short and seek you for restoration. You do this in love for us and we are ever-grateful. Thank you loving Father for being our shield in times of trouble. Although we battle sin and the devil daily, you provide us cover from the ultimate battle: death. You cover us in your love so that we can live forever in your palaces in heaven. Dwell in His Shelter

  Psalm 91 1  "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High      will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [ a ] 2  I will say of the  Lord , “He is my refuge and my fortress,      my God, in whom I trust.” PS 91:1-2 Most High God, You are awesome and amazing! We will find out shelter in you and only your presence! Your shadow covers us in goodness and mercy. May we always remember your ultimate love for us! Lord, we put our total trust in you. Although we sin, we trust in your goodness and love in our savior Jesus. Thank you for forgiving our sins and bringing us into your presence through His sacrifice. Thank you good and gracious Father for always being exactly what we need. Thank you for keeping us safe and bringing us an amazing school year. All Authority

"Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 Dear Jesus, All authority has been given to you, and we put our whole lives into your hands. Let us not worry about anything, as you are with us until the very end. Lord we desire to proclaim your name and we praise you for your great works! Although we fall short of your perfect order, Father, we seek forgiveness and grace. May your love never cease as we always look for ways to follow you closer. Because you are with us always, we strive to do our best. Thank you Lord Jesus for being with us and keeping us safe. Thank you for many blessings of a great start to the school year! Light of the World

"I am the light of the world." John 8:12 Dear Jesus - Light of the World: Savior, you shine bright in our dark world. We thank and praise you for overcoming sin, death and the devil. Your love for us is more than we can imagine and we praise your name for that love! May we always shine your light to the world around us. Jesus, we are easily swayed by the darkness of humanity and sin. We confess our sins to you Lord and ask for your mercy daily. May we be washed clean in your love and grace! Thank you Jesus for always taking care of us. You have been with St. John's for 140 years and have blessed us mightily. Thank you for always being our guiding light and source of all success. Thank you for keeping our families safe this summer and bringing them back to us. Thank you Jesus for bringing us new families. May we care for them with the same love that you care for us. Son of God, be with us and answer our prayers as you see fit. Be with those who are sick and need healing.

Build Them Up

"Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up." Romans 15:2 Dear Jesus, You build us up so that we can build others up. We praise you for your love and saving grace for us daily. May we use that love and grace to do good in our communities and to our neighbors. We want to transform the world in your name and for your glory. Jesus please forgive us our sins and provide us with a clear conscious that we may live in your love. Help us to avoid the traps of the devil and seek your face at all times. Thank you loving Savior for all of your goodness and mercy toward St. John's and our entire community. Thank you for keeping us safe and providing so many blessings. Be with us and continue to bless us throughout the end of the school year and beyond. Jesus please continue to be with those that need your healing touch. Continue to be with our students as they complete all of the end of the year activities. Be with our teachers as they close out the year

Mighty Warrior

"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zechariah 3:17 Lord God, You are the Mighty Warrior in our life that fights for our souls each day. Your power over the devil and death gives us eternal hope. We praise you and take delight in your amazing love for us! May we always rejoice in the love you give us freely. We confess our sins to you Lord. Although we deserve punishment for our sins, you give us love and grace. Help us to always remember the incredible sacrifice you provided for us by your death and resurrection. Thank you God for the blessings that you pour out on St. John's and all of the students, staff, teachers, and parents. You give us so much and we are so thankful. Set Free for Life

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:1-2 Dear heavenly Father, Through you and you alone are we given freedom from sin and death. We praise you for releasing us from the consequences of death and into eternal life with you in heaven. Although we deserve condemnation and death, you give us life. Thank you Father for your Son who forgave our sins with grace. May we always remember the great sacrifice you made on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. Thank you Father for all the many blessings you provide for our community each day. Thank you for the students and parents who make St. John's their school and church home. Thank you for the teachers who give selflessly for your sake. Father continue to be with all of those that need your healing tough. Be with those who are mourning. Give us all direction to walk

Goodness from God

"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 1:5-8 Dear Jesus Christ, We magnify your name in all the earth! The far reaches of your creation proclaim your name. We see your goodness in your creation and praise and thank you for all that you have given us, your dearly loved children. We are thankful for Lord Jesus for the love and forgiveness that you give us daily. Your law reminds us that we are but sinful humans, but through your death and resurrection, we are cleansed. Abounding in Love

"You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you." Psalm 86:5 O Lord, our Lord: How majestic is your name in all the earth. How wonderful are your works and your love. We praise you for your goodness, mercy, and love. Your creation displays your glory and we are in awe of your greatness. Because we fall short of what we should do and who we should be, we call out to you. In humility, we call out and ask for your forgiveness and mercy. In great love you call us out of our darkness and into your arms. We are so thankful for your love! Thank you Lord for all of your mercies, which are new each morning. Thank you for your care and concern for us. Thank you for the many, many blessings that you bestow on us each day. Thank you for St. John's students, staff, families, and those we have yet to reach, but are calling into our presence. Lord, please continue to bless our church and school. Continue to send us staff who love you and proclaim your name.

Go and make disciples!

We are your children and you take care of us like a loving father. We give you all thanks and praise for your love and mercy in our lives. You command us, Jesus, to go into all the world and proclaim your name. We fail to do this as you want. Please forgive us our sins and and help us to always show you and your name to all we meet. Shine Like Stars

"Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain." Philippians 2:14-16 Heavenly Father, You are our bright morning star and our beacon in this dark world. We love you for bringing the light of salvation to the world and giving us your only son Jesus. We do not labor in vain, but work for you, to further your Kingdom! Holy One of Israel

"But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”" I Peter 1:15-16 Holy Father, You are the Holy One, the master of the universe and God of all creation. In you all things were made, including us, your dear children. We praise you for your goodness, mercy, and holiness that you shower on us daily. Father, although we fall short, we look to you. As we confess our shortcomings, give us grace and love in great measure. You love us Lord and we are so thankful for your forgiveness. Thank you Almighty God for all of your good gifts to us. Thank you for the rain and snow and cool weather. You nourish the earth with your goodness and we are so thankful for it. Thank you for your provisions for this community and keep us all safe. The Great Shepherd

  “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,      are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler      who will shepherd my people Israel.’ [ b ] ” Matthew 2:6 Jesus, new-born King: We laud and magnify your name for the great work you have done in saving your people. You have come to earth as a baby to show your great love and sacrifice for us. Your amazing grace has been poured on us and we are so grateful to be your children for all time. Lord, we are sorry for the sins we have committed. Please forgive us and help us to draw near to what is good and pleasing in your sight. May we always be whole only through you. Jesus, thank you for so many blessings. Celebrating your birth and being with family is such a blessings. Thank you for the Christmas holiday and keeping our community safe.
