Goodness from God

"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 1:5-8

Dear Jesus Christ,

We magnify your name in all the earth! The far reaches of your creation proclaim your name. We see your goodness in your creation and praise and thank you for all that you have given us, your dearly loved children.

We are thankful for Lord Jesus for the love and forgiveness that you give us daily. Your law reminds us that we are but sinful humans, but through your death and resurrection, we are cleansed. Thank you for your forgiveness and love.

Thank you for always giving us what we need at the right moment. Although we may not always see your goodness, we know that you work in all things for our good. Help us to be patient so that we can always see your perfect love for us in our lives.

Jesus please be with all those who are suffering. Bring them healing. Be with all those our mourn and bring them comfort. Jesus, we ask that you continue to bless our students and guide them in the paths they would go in your name. Be with our families and keep them safe and secure in your love. Help St. John's to reach out to all families that you would have come, so that we can impact the world in your name. We pray this in your name. Amen!

Build Them Up

"Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up." Romans 15:2 Dear Jesus, You build us up so that we can build others up. We praise you for your love and saving grace for us daily. May we use that love and grace to do good in our communities and to our neighbors. We want to transform the world in your name and for your glory. Jesus please forgive us our sins and provide us with a clear conscious that we may live in your love. Help us to avoid the traps of the devil and seek your face at all times. Thank you loving Savior for all of your goodness and mercy toward St. John's and our entire community. Thank you for keeping us safe and providing so many blessings. Be with us and continue to bless us throughout the end of the school year and beyond.
