Shine Like Stars

"Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain." Philippians 2:14-16

Heavenly Father,

You are our bright morning star and our beacon in this dark world. We love you for bringing the light of salvation to the world and giving us your only son Jesus. We do not labor in vain, but work for you, to further your Kingdom!

Be with us and give us the strength to not grumble or argue. When we do, please forgive us our sins and cleanse us from the crooked generation we live in and give us true life in your holy Word.

Father, thank you for all of your goodness and love that we receive. Thank you for long weekends, for teachers that love and care, and for families. You give us good things and may we focus on them and you only.

Please be with all of those families who need your healing touch. Families who are hurting physically, mentally, or socially: be with them and heal their bodies and minds. Be with those individuals who need your healing touch and grant them full health. Continue to be with St. John's all that she does for your kingdom. Help us show the world that you are the only Way, Truth, and Life!

We pray this in Jesus's holy name. Amen!

Build Them Up

"Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up." Romans 15:2 Dear Jesus, You build us up so that we can build others up. We praise you for your love and saving grace for us daily. May we use that love and grace to do good in our communities and to our neighbors. We want to transform the world in your name and for your glory. Jesus please forgive us our sins and provide us with a clear conscious that we may live in your love. Help us to avoid the traps of the devil and seek your face at all times. Thank you loving Savior for all of your goodness and mercy toward St. John's and our entire community.
