Go and make disciples!

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Dear Jesus,

All authority has been given to you and we praise you for your power and dominion over all things. We are your children and you take care of us like a loving father. We give you all thanks and praise for your love and mercy in our lives.

You command us, Jesus, to go into all the world and proclaim your name. We fail to do this as you want. Please forgive us our sins and and help us to always show you and your name to all we meet. You love us with an everlasting love and show us endless grace. Thank you for always forgiving us.

Thank you Jesus for Lutheran schools. As we celebrate Lutheran Schools Week, we thank you for the teachers, pastor, and churches that all make Lutheran schools happen. We thank you for the families that choose Lutheran schools for a powerful education that is centered on You. Thank you for sending us strong Christian teachers to proclaim your name in our school.

Jesus be with us as we continue to proclaim your name at St. John's. Bless our school, her students, and families. Bless our school and be with us as we continue to educate children in your name forever.

We love you Jesus! Amen!
