By Grace we are Saved!

 For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift…. — Ephesians 2:8 

Dear Father in Heaven,

Through you, we are saved. Only through You are we saved! What a blessing beyond measure to have confidence that your love and grace has covered all of our sins. What assurance we have that we will one day come to your side in heaven and live in glory with you for eternity. We praise your glorious name for your good works, love, and peace that you give us.

Although we sin much and deserve punishment, you have loved us anyway. Father, please forgive us of our sins and bring us to true repentance in your Son's name. May we always be humble and grateful for the sacrifice Jesus made for us.

Thank you Father for keeping our community safe. So far, Lord, our families homes and lives have been spared from the fires and from COVID. In your great goodness and knowledge, may we continue to praise and thank you for your love and deep care over us here at St. John's and beyond. 

Father, we still come to you with many requests. We know that you work for good to those who love you, and we love you Lord! May our requests be granted by your divine merit. Please be with all those brave men and women who are fighting the fires in Orange County and throughout the state. Please protect us and those we love from the fires and from COVID. Lord, we as you to bring about an end to the pandemic. May we turn to you and seek you more as the worries of this world rage. Please be with all of those who are struggling in their health. Heal them and bring them back to our community. We put all of these requests into your hand, Father.

Build Them Up

"Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up." Romans 15:2 Dear Jesus, You build us up so that we can build others up. We praise you for your love and saving grace for us daily. May we use that love and grace to do good in our communities and to our neighbors. We want to transform the world in your name and for your glory. Jesus please forgive us our sins and provide us with a clear conscious that we may live in your love. Help us to avoid the traps of the devil and seek your face at all times. Thank you loving Savior for all of your goodness and mercy toward St. John's and our entire community.
