Emmanuel - God with us!

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." Matthew 1:23

Father in Heaven,

Our great and wise, Heavenly Father, we are in awe of our power and dominion over your creation. We love and adore you and praise you name to the corners of the world. May your grace and peace be heard and seen by all. May your great name be praised forever!

Emmanuel, you are truly God-with-us! You have never left us and never forsaken us. Even though we sin much and do not deserve anything, you give us your love and forgiveness freely. Please continue to be with us through this Advent time when we eager anticipate your arrive in the manger.

Thank you God for so many blessings! Everyday you give us is a blessing. Thank you for your strength and courage you give us in these extraordinary times! 

Great God, we humbly ask you keep the scourge of COVID away from us. We ask you to heal those suffering from it. Our entire world needs refuge from it. Please Lord, grant us some relief. We ask that you keep the blessings of your love close to our hearts and let us always remember the reason we celebrate, Jesus birth! Help us to proclaim that news to all corners of creation. Lastly, Lord, give us all your peace that passes all human understanding, and guard our hearts and minds that we may dwell deeply in you and you alone.

We love you, Lord! Amen!

Build Them Up

"Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up." Romans 15:2 Dear Jesus, You build us up so that we can build others up. We praise you for your love and saving grace for us daily. May we use that love and grace to do good in our communities and to our neighbors. We want to transform the world in your name and for your glory. Jesus please forgive us our sins and provide us with a clear conscious that we may live in your love. Help us to avoid the traps of the devil and seek your face at all times. Thank you loving Savior for all of your goodness and mercy toward St. John's and our entire community.
