Saved by Grace through Faith!

"Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing." Ephesians 2:7-10 MSG

 Dear Father,

 We know that in all things, You have great plans for us. The greatest plan for us is the salvation you brought to us through your Son, Jesus. Thank you for the saving grace that brings us to eternity with you and that it is freely given!

 God your Word says, "We don't play the major role." Help us step back and let You take the lead. Lead us by the hand, heart and mind in all Your ways. May we always acknowledge You and You alone.

 Lord, be with our students and families the first days of school! May our new families feel the love of St. John's all around them. May our returning families always feel loved and supported. Help our students make friends, grown in wisdom and feel loved by their teachers and You.

 Thank you, Father, for your safety and protection. Thank you for a wonderful summer and bless this new school year! We pray this all in Jesus, name. Amen!

"Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up." Romans 15:2 Dear Jesus, You build us up so that we can build others up. We praise you for your love and saving grace for us daily. May we use that love and grace to do good in our communities and to our neighbors. We want to transform the world in your name and for your glory. Jesus please forgive us our sins and provide us with a clear conscious that we may live in your love. Help us to avoid the traps of the devil and seek your face at all times. Thank you loving Savior for all of your goodness and mercy toward St. John's and our entire community.
