One in Christ

"You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness." Ephesians 4:4-6 MSG

 Dear Savior of the world,

 Christ you gave so much for us so that we might be your children and live with you forever in heaven! We praise your name and your love for us in all that you have done.

 Although we fall short of your glory, we come before you in humble adoration and ask that you forgive us and help us lead lives that are pleasing to you. May we always remember you and what you have done for us!

 THANK YOU Christ for the gift of salvation and for the gift of education. At St. John's we can always do both and proclaim you while learning. THANK YOU for 136 years of education at St. John's! THANK YOU for the 648 families that are sending their children to St. John's and THANK YOU for the 775 students we serve each day!

 Father and Savior, please be with all of our students as they meet another school year with enthusiasm. Be with them. Help them learn and grow into the boys and girls you have called them to be. Be with our teachers. Keep the strong in mind, body and soul. Be with all those who mourn. Comfort them.

 Jesus you are awesome and we love you!

 Amen!

Build Them Up

"Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up." Romans 15:2 Dear Jesus, You build us up so that we can build others up. We praise you for your love and saving grace for us daily. May we use that love and grace to do good in our communities and to our neighbors. We want to transform the world in your name and for your glory. Jesus please forgive us our sins and provide us with a clear conscious that we may live in your love. Help us to avoid the traps of the devil and seek your face at all times. Thank you loving Savior for all of your goodness and mercy toward St. John's and our entire community.
